Unexpected romance a recurring theme in 'Reshimo'

The opening sequence in "Reshimo" is a lone woman slowly tracing her fingers down her arm, as if remembering the caress of a recent lover. She stares off into darkness almost smiling; and then as she repeats the gesture, it grows more brusque, as if in the aftermath the affair turned sour, and she must now hastily forget what was a pleasant encounter.
